The maternity portrait session with Irina turned out to be quite an adventure! We started on a Thursday, as planned, and some twenty minutes into the shoot the skies just broke into a massive downpour. We ran and hid under a kiosk ten. Soaking wet we waited for some clearing and with none in sight called it a day agreeing that Irina would do her best to try not to give birth over the weekend. As if you could control it…
But she did! Next Tuesday we came back. And it was a blast! You can see Irina – all over the place – charming, laughing, dancing and flirting with the camera. All this just a week before her first child, a gorgeous baby girl was born. Her name is Masha, and you will meet her in the next post. Enjoy!

Katerina: Belly Shots

Katerina ruled the shoot for three hours straight without slowing down even for a second… And all this with the little Zakhar almost “ready-to-launch”! Amazing… Tons, and I am not kidding here, TONS of photographs.
Maternity: Blues, Laughs and B&Ws
Posted by ulkare - 19/08/10 at 12:08:59 amA belly photo shoot we did “on location” – right in the apartment of a fabulous couple, who at that time were expecting the little baby girl you could see in the previous posts. The daylight and cool whiteness of the walls played an unexpected trick and brought out gorgeous blue hues, which I just adore in these photos. The guys were all set for the little one arriving in a couple of weeks with STACKS of adorable clothes and a watermelon for the future dad, which he sneaked in to compete for his spot in the pictures. Loved it!
