A warm and fun engagement shoot with Ana and Alex in South Beach. Ana outdid herself styling the outfits, Art Deco and South of Fifth played along, the sunset light was ethereal. Looking forward to a fabulous wedding in May!

I’m starting a new series of posts – this time dedicated to diverse portrait and lifestyle shooting locations around Miami and the area.

Today, please enjoy the beach and the greenery of the scenic and mysterious Matheson Hammock Park in Coral Gables. We took these in something like 15 minutes – just imagine how much fun the place will be for an engagement or lifestyle photo shoot!

Here come the digital photographs telling the story of Christine’s and Danny’s engagement, which we showed you in a sneak preview earlier. These two lovebirds met in a comic book store. The theme for their wedding, which will take place on a fabulous date of all tens – 10/10/20010 – is Phantom of the Opera. Enjoy!

Engagement: Medium Format Magic

Christine and Danny’s engagement photo shoot was the first one we did with our new and beloved Mamiya. Well, not entirely with it, we played it safe and used it as an extra. The result – you take a look yourself. I’m truly, madly, deeply in love with film but still enjoy the safety and fast turnaround of shooting digital. The latter will follow shortly.

Huge thanks to Christine and Danny for being so creative and easy-going and so much fun! And for introducing us to two amazing locations – the Morikami Japanese Gardens in Delray Beach and a beyond awesome comic book and tons-of-more-stuff-you’ll-sell-your-kidney-to-buy-it-all Tate’s store.
